One of the hardest, absolutely most difficult things about being a maker of any kind, and especially a maker with very diverse interests, is the space it takes to do your making. We have a spare bedroom in our house that we call the “abyss” because it’s always been a catch all for everything we wanted to shove out of the way. We cleaned it our enough a couple of years ago to put exercise equipment in, but then I got hooked on 3D printing and needed a place for the printer”s”.
So we went to Harbor Freight and bought a work bench and that has been wonderful, but then I started getting into Cricuts and Scan-N-Cuts and Chalk Couture and the list could go on. So I finally managed to clean off the drafting table that my original 3D printer sat on and got it set up for doing all of these other crafts. Below is a quick tour of the space: still very messy, but it works. Even with the exercise equipment still in the space, I’m making it work. And we now have our dining room table back!!
